Curriculum

Here at TEAM Charter Academy our curriculum focuses on English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science, Social Studies, and Social-Emotional Learning. TCA's faculty also provides enrichment to students by offering elective classes. Enrichment classes are based on student interests and include a variety of topics including coding, art, critical-thinking, anime, etc. Along with the Academy's elective classes, TCA is also proud to be starting it's first year as an AVID school. Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a non-profit organization that provides professional learning for educators to improve college readiness for all students, especially those traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Our Curriculum Programs
  • English Language Arts (ELA) : Study Sync 
    • StudySync is a complete ELA curriculum designed to meet the rigorous academic needs of today’s classroom. In print or online, StudySync is designed to engage every student, because every student deserves the same opportunity and access in the classroom, regardless of his or her native language, learning level or physical, social and emotional ability.  
  • Math : Go Math!  
    • GO Math! provides a seamless path to ensure that students can access content at appropriate levels of depth and rigor. A wealth of resources for the classroom and beyond provide the tools students need to embrace math and succeed in high-stakes assessments.  
  • Science : Discovery Education 
    • Science Techbook for NGSS brings real-world, engaging educational content from national partners like MythBusters, Cheddar, NBA, Shark Week, MLB, and Street Science into the classroom. This ever-growing collection contains exciting resources that engage students through multimedia, STEM career highlights, and virtual field trips, creating lasting connections between science and their everyday lives.  
  • Social Studies : TCI - History Alive
    • TCI’s online History Alive! programs transform middle school social studies class into a multi-faceted learning experience. TCI lessons start with a big idea — Essential Question — and incorporate graphic notetaking, groupwork, and step-by-step discovery. Students are the center of instruction that taps a variety of learning styles, allowing students of all abilities to learn and succeed.
