Message from the Academy's Director of Education

My name is Danielle Ray-Reyes, and I would like to introduce myself as the Principal of TEAM Charter Academy and Director of Special Education for the TEAM Charter network of schools. TEAM Charter Academy and its network of schools has a unique dynamic where our staff’s mission of supporting, and nurturing the whole child in a non-traditional educational setting is truly superior. Its program offering from Leader in Me to the House System, and visual and performing arts sets it apart in the educational realm and I am very proud to lead in such a dynamic school. 

In my free time I keep busy being a wife and mother to 4 beautiful children. I am now going into my 16th year of serving as an educator. I spent approximately 9 years working as a special education teacher (e.g. resource specialist, mild-moderate teacher, Inclusion Specialist, Assistive Technology Specialist) before stepping into being an administrator. I obtained my undergraduate degree at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, in political science, Spanish and history. I later returned to the West Coast and earned a master’s in educational leadership from California State University at Stanislaus, along with my administrative services credential.

I previously had the capacity to serve  TEAM families by creating its special education department and serving as the Director of Special Education and elementary vice principal. 

I am excited to be back and serve the community of students and TEAM families, which I love.
