Dear TEAM Charter Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you enjoyed a summer break filled with fun and wonderful memories with your loved ones.
Personally, I am grateful and elated to be on this journey as your Principal. Over the past year, I have had a chance to meet many of you and your children, and look forward to building a strong relationship with you all this upcoming year. As we enter this new school year, I want you to know that our staff will facilitate learning around social justice issues, including community based projects through rigorous curriculum. The Leader in Me will continue to guide our social and emotional learning, allowing student leaders to have voice.
Each new year brings positive change. With that being said, TEAM Charter has adopted a new science curriculum that is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that we have a new website that will highlight each of our campuses. Also, TEAM Charter has a new food vendor, Lunch Masters who will supply nutritionally sound meals on a daily basis. Last but certainly not least, TEAM Charter has on-boarded several new staff and faculty to our ever growing schools. I am excited to see how this year of greatness unfolds as TEAM Charter continues its journey LEADING THE WAY!
As you all know, the summer months are full of the hustle and bustle of preparing for the upcoming school year. This includes registering new and returning students, finalizing class rosters, thoroughly cleaning the building and planning for a productive school year, LEADING THE WAY! A few thank yous are in order. First, I would like to thank the custodial staff for their hard work and commitment to making sure the school is ready to receive our TEAM TITANS. Next, thank you to the office staff for their diligence and dedication in registering new families with our new online registration system. Finally, thank you to our incredible staff and faculty for their innovation, passion and drive as they prepare for the start of an exciting school year. I have no doubt that their commitment to TEAM Charter will ensure that we are LEADING THE WAY!

Student Placement
A great deal of time, effort and thought have gone into the process of student placement for the 2019-2020 school year. Careful consideration was given to input from staff and families as well as student learning styles. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level. Moving students is difficult without causing imbalances and inequities.
Thank you so much for being positive with your child and helping him or her understand that it is impossible to place all students with a preferred best friend or teacher. ALL of our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. TEAM Charter is eagerly looking forward to enriching your child’s life. Thank you for understanding that it can take a few weeks for a child to acclimate to a new school, grade, peer group, and teacher.
School Attire
It is requested that all students wear suggested school uniform attire each day, unless it is designated as a free dress or spirit day. The uniform attire consists of any solid color short or long sleeved collared (polo type) shirts, black, khaki, or navy blue pants, shorts, capris, jumpers, or skirts, and closed toed shoes.
I eagerly look forward to seeing you and your children. Please feel free to stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make thisschool year one of growth and achievement for all students.
Kind regards,
Angela Phillips
