My name is Mrs. Ibarra and this is my 9th year at TEAM Charter. You can find me upstairs in the 540 building, in Room 3. 

 

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and went to college at Western Oregon University where I earned my bachelor's degree. In 2003, I moved to California and began substitute teaching. Prior to working at TEAM, I taught at a private school, worked in a special education classroom and went back to school to earn my master's degree. 

 

In 2012, the first year for TEAM at the Main Street location, I joined the staff as a Kindergarten teacher. The following year I moved up to 2nd grade where I stayed for 5 years. Two years ago, I made the jump to 5th grade.

 

Distance learning last year was a new challenge but we made it through! This year we will start with distance learning out of an abundance of caution. Hopefully Public Heath and the Governor will approve us to return to the classroom soon! In the meantime, we will meet daily in the google classroom and I will be broadcasting lessons live!

We will be learning about fractions, decimals, states & capitals, the writing process, coordinate planes, Leader In Me, Earth’s surfaces and water, author’s point of view, theme and much more! 

 

I am looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year and I can't wait to see everyone virtually and in person soon!
