Safe Haven Schools

As stated in the California Department of Education Code, all students have a right to be in a public school learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, violence, and intimidation. (Educ. Code §§ 220, 234 et seq.)  In support of the Education Code, on April 10, 2017, the TEAM Board of Trustees adopted as policy, the “Recognition of Transformational Education Inc. School Sites as Safe Haven Schools” for the purpose of fulfilling our commitment to provide a safe environment for student learning and to encourage parents to engage in their child’s/children’s education irrespective of their immigration status, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, sex and gender identity, socio-economic status or beliefs.  To view the full document and letter to parents, please click the links below.
